Just recently restored in our in-house workshop, this Hans J. Wegner chair features a beautiful wicker headrest and seat. An unusual piece that would be absolutely beautiful in a room with colorful accents. Pair with a teak dining table for a hand-molded, carefully detailed effect- as per usual of Scandinavian furniture.

A beautiful example of Hans Wegner’s timeless ‘Round Chair’ or ‘The Chair’ in solid teak with its original cane seat. The caning is 95% intact and what few breaks there are are not ultimately distracting. A fine
example for the collector, fully signed with Johannes Hansen branding and Knoll paper label. Please do not hesitate to ask for more images or call for an appointment to come to view in person at the Satyricon Brooklyn showroom.

TAIYOU&C.’s first collection has been designed by richard hutten, jin kuramoto and mikiya kobayashi and manufactured by fuji furniture.

Inspired by a Hans Wegner design, the Kennedy arm chair is made from solid ash hardwood finished with a walnut stain. Comfort is provided by the elliptical back, and armrests and padded seat covered with smooth, black polyurethane leatherette. Where armrests are not needed, this chair can be complemented by the Kennedy side chair.

DETAILS Title: Leg and Arm Chair. Each sculptural chair with a cast bronze torso, hands and legs emerging from the concrete lounge chair, one with a male form and the other female. The artist is active in Denver, Colorado and is known for large scale, public art commissions. A similar pair are in the collection of Denver Art Museum. The sculptures can be placed indoors or outdoors. This series was mostly by commission so the artist often incorporated actual casts of the arms and legs of the client for the sculpture making each artwork one of a kind. Description: The Japanese designer Tatsuo Kuroda has created a chair for Normann Copenhagen which unites classic materials with modern aesthetics. The Knot chair has a clean and simple expression that leads the thoughts to classic 1950s furniture. The overall impression is determined by the details, such as the dominant jointing points in natural paper cord, which also provide optimal sitting comfort. Tatsuo Kuroda is a graduate of Tama Art University in Japan and has worked with product and furniture design since 2006. The structural components of the Knot chair are tied together with paper cord, which provide both support and a stylish visual expression; and, despite his Japanese background, Tatsuo has been inspired by traditional Scandinavian design. Tatsuo Kuroda explains: “My thoughts behind Knot was to create a chair which is a reinterpretation of itself – a chair that is both classic and modern at the same time. I am inspired by Danish design classics in which function and aesthetics come together.\
